Welcome to my home...

My name is Rev. Roy Pope, Jr., the President of
r.d. pope software.

I just moved in on December 17, 1999, so please bear with me as I get all set up.
I'm a 34 year old minister, and Computer Science major, dwelling way down south in backwoods Mobile, AL, in the good-old USA.

My interests are many...
|
Everyone needs a hobby...right? Well, I have quite a few that I remain constantly active in. I like to travel, especially in Southeast Asia. Over the past four years, I have been to Thailand several times, Hong Kong, Singapor, Malaysia, and Cambodia. During my travels, I became quite a collector of old foreign coins and banknotes, as well as ancient statues (I have a really nice selection of Hindu-influenced Buddhist statues and idols. When I'm not traveling, I spend nearly every free moment at my computer, writing programs and code snippets in Visual Basic, Visual dBase, C++, TPW, and AWK... just to name a few.

A new site that I just set up for distributing my apps written in Visual Basic 6.0. There's also some code being put there for other programmers to use, as well.
